• A 50-year-old Rock Creek woman said her 33-year-daughter hit her in the face after a verbal altercation turned into a physical one Tuesday.

• Neighbors on Poplar Street reported a “suspicious” man peeking into houses and vehicles shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday. The man told police he was trying to enter a vacant house to retrieve property left behind by a former occupant, according to a report. Police told the man to move along.
