• A Dorset Township man was arrested Sunday evening after a deputy discovered a one-pot meth lab in his garage, according to a report.
The 33-year-old man told the deputy that it was his first attempt to make meth, but he has been a user for about two months. The man told the deputy that he turned to making the drug because he had lost his financial assistance and had to make meth to provide for his family.
The suspect faces three counts of child endangerment as a result of having children, ages 3 through 8, in the home. He also faces a charge of illegal manufacture of drugs and illegal assembly/possession of the chemicals to make drugs.
The sheriff’s department was tipped off to the potential lab location and discovered that the suspect had an outstanding warrant. The lab was discovered while attempting to arrest the suspect on the previous warrant.
