INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — Thelma J. Brown, age 84, of Independence, Mo., formerly of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012.
Thelma was born May 21, 1928, in Sebring, Ohio. Thelma moved to Ashtabula in 1940, and attended Ashtabula City Schools. She married Clayton Brown and then moved to Independence in 1949.
She was a member of the Norfleet Baptist Church.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Brown; son, Henry; sister, Ruth Giddings; brother, George Antonio; and loving parents, Evelyn Antonio-Coutts and Lewis Antonio.
She is survived by sons, Clayton (Pam) Brown, George Brown and Allen Brown, all of Independence; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Katherine Shineman of Independence and Viola (Herb) Canter of Jefferson, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews and cousins of Ashtabula, Ohio.
Interment at Mt. Washington Cemetery.
