SHEFFIELD TOWNSHIP — William L. Harmon Jr., age 68, of Plymouth – Gageville Road, Sheffield Township, Ohio, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at his home.
Born August 3, 1944, in Ashtabula, Ohio, he was the son of William Sr. and Laila I. (Luoma) Harmon and graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1962. He married Diana L. Musser on April 17, 1965.
Bill enjoyed restoring Farmall tractors with his son, Charlie. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and going to the races every Friday night at Raceway 7.
Bill and Diana had three children, Karen (Nathan) Mortimer of Brimfield, Ohio, Tina (Marty) Holden of Jefferson and Charlie (Heather) Harmon of Sheffield Township. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Emily, Jack and Abby Mortimer of Brimfield, Ohio, Haley, Libby and Jacob Holden of Jefferson and Allison and Joshua Harmon of Sheffield. He is also survived by two sisters, Wilma (Robert) Kotila of Ashtabula and Evelyn Rost of Monroe Falls, Ohio; and a brother, Robert (Susan) Harmon of Lexington, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Diana in 2006; and by a sister, Aileen Hanneman.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 29th, at the Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, INC., 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.
Calling Hours will be Wednesday, Nov. 28th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of Service at the Funeral Home.
