ASHTABULA —
Monneta A. Flack, age 90, formerly of Gordon Road, Saybrook Township, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at Park Haven Nursing Home where she had resided the past three years.
She was born March 12, 1921, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Albert and Myrth (Wilson) Aunger and had resided in Ashtabula all of her life and was a 1940 graduate of Ashtabula High School. She was married to James L. Flack on Feb. 24, 1962, at First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Flack worked for many years at Carlisle’s Dept. Store and Olson’s Bakery.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, O. K. Rebekah Lodge #681 and over the years she enjoyed golf, bowling, crocheting and crafts.
Survivors include three step-sons, Ronald J. (Judy) Flack of Highland Heights, Chris A. (Peggy) Flack of Ashtabula and Mark R. Flack of Geneva; six step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James in 2009; two brothers, Chester and George Aunger; and three sisters, Minnie Alice Abbey, Geraldine Pal and Ireta Weidig.
Memorial Services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 11th, at First Baptist Church, 4353 Park Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Doug Wright officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Baptist Church at the above address or Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004. The Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, is handling arrangements.
