AUSTINBURG —
Margaret A. Fronce, age 75, died Monday afternoon, Feb. 6, 2012, at the Austinburg Nursing & Rehabilitation Center where she had resided the past five years.
She was born August 25, 1936, in Austinburg, the daughter of Roy F. and Ruth M. (Harper) Mead and had been an area resident all of her life.
Mrs. Fronce was an Austinburg High School graduate and worked 18 years as an accountant with Ashtabula Co. Dept. of Children’s Services, retiring in 2002.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and the Ashtabula Co. Women’s Republican Club. Her interests include latch hook, ceramics, bingo, puzzles, socializing and supporting many wildlife groups.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary I. (Jay) Fronce and Helen V. Fronce, both of Ashtabula; granddaughter, Alyssa Stacy of Ashtabula; a brother, Donald B. Mead of Jefferson; and three sisters, Alta R. Smith of Gambier, Edith M. Smith of Wooster and Florence I. Vesey of Kingsville. She also leaves behind her former son-in-law, John Hayes of Geneva; and her granddog, “Gizmo”.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George J. Fronce in 1976; sisters, Helen V. Mead and a sister in infancy; and brothers, Francis G. and Howard H. Mead.
The family would like to recognize and express their heartfelt appreciation to Margaret’s second family, the staff at the Austinburg Nursing & Rehabilitation Center who so lovingly became part of Margaret’s life.
Funeral Services will be held 12 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10th, at the Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Dr. C. Thomas Jackson, of Christ Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be held TODAY, Feb. 9th, from 6 to 8 p.m., and from 11 a.m. until time of Service, Friday, at the Funeral Home.
