ROME — Thomas Girman, age 94, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Briar Hill Health Care with his family by his side.
He was born July 29, 1918, in Cleveland, the son of Andrew and Agnes (Hrzik) Girman. He served in the United States Naval Air Force during WWII in the pacific theater. He was married to Wilma (Horner) on Nov. 24, 1954.
Thomas retired from family farming and custom combining. He enjoyed his family and nature in general.
He is survived by his sons, Donald (Rita) Girman, Michael (Valerie) Girman and Dennis (Betty) Switzer; daughter, Karen (Arthur) Stetka; sisters, Irene (Joseph) Prokop and Mary Ciha; sister-in-law, Marilyn Girman; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma; granddaughter, Michele Switzer; sisters, Rosie Marietta and Evelyn Girman; and a brother, George Girman.
In respecting with Thomas’s wishes, no calling hours will be observed. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
