SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP — Audrey L. Coach, age 77, of Depot Road, Saybrook Township, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at Saybrook Landing in Saybrook Township.
She was born August 16, 1935, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Elis H. and Dorothy (Beckwith) Haapala and had been a lifetime area resident. She was a 1954 graduate of Harbor High School and married William J. Coach on Oct. 8, 1955.
She was a homemaker and also a cook at Saybrook Elementary School. She was a member of Saybrook United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir for over 50 years and also was a soloist.
She collected white Fenton milk glass and enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, baking, mowing grass, singing and going to garage sales.
Surviving her are two sons, Steven J. Coach of Saybrook and Mark S. Coach of Ashtabula; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Brittany and Nicholas Coach; and two sisters, Karin McNutt of Painesville and Lynn Gluvna of Ashtabula.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William J. Coach Jr.; and a brother, David Haapala.
Graveside Services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 3rd, at Saybrook Township Cemetery, Route 45, Saybrook Township, with the Rev. Jeff Stoll, of Saybrook United Methodist Church, officiating.
