KINGSVILLE — Twila M. Sackett, age 75, of N. Wright St., Kingsville, died Wednesday evening, Nov. 14, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 24, 1937, in Greensburg, Pa., the daughter of Welman W. and Gladys L. (McGee) Smith and had been an area resident since 1954, coming from Manor, Pa. She was married to Berel L. Sackett on Oct. 29, 1956, in Winchester, Va.
Mrs. Sackett was a cashier for several years at Wal-Mart. She enjoyed rides to Lake Erie to watch the boats and other lake activity, traveling, going to Country Music shows, doing word search puzzles and collecting owls, bells and Shirley Temple movies.
Survivors include her husband, Berel; four children, Darlene A. (David) Hardin of Los Angeles, Calif., Robert R. (Beth) Sackett of Dorset, Rita L. (Greg) Wassie of Conneaut and B. Scott (Christina) Sackett of Salisbury, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Barbara J. (Roger) Polkow of Ashtabula and Sharyn A. (Walter) Sypin of Erie, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandson, Haydn Sackett.
Graveside Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 20th, at Gageville Cemetery in Sheffield Township, with the Rev. Christine Bell, of First United Methodist Church, officiating. No calling hours will be observed.
