ASHTABULA —
Virginia N. Hickman died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Country Club Retirement Center.
She was born in Wilbur, W.Va., on Sept. 21, 1919, the daughter of Delbert and Leota Haught. She married Glen L. Hickman on April 22, 1939 and had one daughter, Eva Mae. “Grandma Great” is survived by three grandchildren, Cheryl Tadsen (James), David Gill (Cathy) and Cindy Gill (Jim Cancilla); great-grandchildren, Nicole, Rachel, Zachary, Michael, Barbara, Emily, Jacy and Jaden; great-great-grandchildren, Mason, Christopher, Kaileigh and Alexander; sisters, Wanda Keys and Hazel Friend; brothers, James Haught (Phyllis), Ray Haught and Tom Haught (Alice); sisters-in-law, Mabel Haught and Beulah Stone; and several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Susan Shields Haught; daughter, Eva Gill; son-in-law, Merle Gill; brothers, Ermal Haught, Claude Haught, Denver “Dick” Haught and Perry Haught; and sisters, Opal Wilcox and Melba Lee Ash. Calling Hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10th, at SPURGEON FUNERAL HOME in West Union, W.Va. Burial will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 11th, at Wilbur Chapel Cemetery in Tyler County.
