ASHTABULA — Christopher J. Robinson (a.k.a.”Rabbitt”), age 61, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, in the Hospice Unit of Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born in Conneaut, Ohio, on July 2, 1951, he was the son of Ernest C. and Siina (Mackey) Robinson and graduated from Ashtabula Harbor High School in 1969.
Chris had worked at the Ashtabula and Buffalo Docks as a Hulett operator; RMI Metals; Lake Erie College as Director of Maintenance and Housekeeping; Ashtabula Job and Family Services; Madison Health Care; Ashtabula Country Club Retirement Campus; Conneaut Inn; and the Star Beacon as Mailroom Maintenance.
Chris lived a life full of love, great experiences and hard work. He will be greatly missed. He helped make this life a happier place with his presence. Chris will be laid to rest next to his auntie, Anne Goebel, who passed away in 1986.
Chris is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia (Force); daughter, Heather (Craig) Dioneff; granddaughter, Lilyanna Marie Dioneff; father, Earnest C. (Earnie) of Winterhaven, Fla.; sisters, Sandy Dowler of North Carolina, and Penny Rantanen and JoAnne Simon, both of Ashtabula; and many loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Siina O. Robinson in 1989.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 10th, at POTTI LAKESIDE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE, 1329 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio, with the Rev. Don Hammer, of Gateway Church of Ashtabula, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville.
No calling hours will be observed.
