AUSTINBURG TOWNSHIP —
Ruth Evelyn Rose, age 86, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at the Austinburg Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Feb. 21, 1925, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ernest and Jenny (Vapinek) Bradley and had resided in the Ashtabula area most of her life. Ruth married the love of her life, Robert W. Rose Sr., on June 12, 1941.
Ruth enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and her dog “Brandy”.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Shelott of Ashtabula, Debra Sams of Oregon, son-in-law Warren Sams of Ashtabula, Jennifer Peet of Bradenton, Fla., Robert Rose Jr. of Ashtabula, daughter-in-law Brenda Bartone of Ashtabula and Ronald (Susan) Rose of Ashtabula; sisters, June (Harold) Durrant of Jefferson and Ernestine (Gordon) Emerson of Eagleville, Ohio; brother, Clarence (Donna) Bradley of Texas; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Robert Rose Sr., in 1992; her parents; daughters, Kathleen and Barbara in infancy; sister, Florence Lyons, brothers Franklin and Albert and a brother in infancy; grandson Kevin Coy; and son-in-law John Shelott.
Funeral Services will be held 12 p.m., Noon, Thursday, Feb. 9th, at the Pentecostal Church of God, 2201 Cook Road, Ashtabula, with Pastor Frank Loeffel and the Rev. Jason Sams officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of Service at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
