GENEVA — Helen E. Neuman, age 91, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at The Sanctuary of Geneva.
Born May 21, 1921, in Fairport, Ohio, to Mary (Palo) and John Erickson, she married Frederick Neuman on Nov. 5, 1942, in Mt. Hope, Ohio.
Helen was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Geneva, where she had been active in the Altar Guild, Women’s Guild, and many other activities through the years. She loved spending time with her family and friends, traveling and was a sweet, caring, gentle woman with a great sense of humor. Her last years were spent at the Sanctuary of Geneva, where she enjoyed many activities and the friendships of the wonderful residents there and the dedicated, caring staff.
She is survived by her brothers, David (Nettie) Erickson and Jack (Verna) Erickson; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; step-mother, Tyyne; sisters, Joan Bevan, Lillian Erickson and Elma Erickson-Guch.
Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, March 18th, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 811 S. Broadway, Geneva. Friends will be received one hour prior to the Service at the Church. Final resting place will be at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio.
