CLEVELAND — Ronald K. Dalin Sr., age 72, a resident of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away after a long battle with cancer, Sunday, March 10, 2013, at UH-Case Medical Center, Cleveland, with his family at his bedside.
Ronald was born to Alta Jane (Richmond) and John Arvid Dalin on Feb. 25, 1941. He graduated from Ashtabula High School and in 1960, he married his loving wife in Geneva.
Prior to his retirement in 1998, he owned and operated Dalin Auto Service with his wife, Judy.
His love was his wife, his dogs, the outdoors, gardening, wood working, stocking his ponds and seeing the fish grow, his many trips to Canada, and his time spent with family and good friends. He worked hard all his life and never stopped pushing himself and his children.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith; daughters, Darlene (Mike) Dalin of Ashtabula and Michaele (Melvin) Goodson of Ulmer, S.C.; sons, Ronald (Jodi) Dalin Jr. of Jefferson, Jeffrey (Michele) Dalin of Conneaut, Christropher (Laura) Dalin and Ronald Bell, both of Thompson; grandchildren, Michael (Steph) Dalin, Tyler Dalin, Joshua (Lina) Dalin, Amber Dalin, Jessica Dalin, Eva Dalin, Mitch (Sheila) Hanes, Bryar Bell, Robert Bell, Victoria (Michael) Roberts, Khristina Howard and Elizabeth (Adam) Radwancky; eight great-grandchildren; nieces, Ginger Peck of Parma and Tricia Stokes of Ashtabula, and so many more loving nieces and nephews; sister, Marie (Dean) Abraham of Uniontown, Ohio; and brothers, James (Karen) Dalin of Ashtabula and Dennis (Cathy) Dalin of Jefferson.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and his dog “Rascal”.
Calling Hours will be Thursday, March 14th, from 2 to 4 p.m. at WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, Ohio, with a Service to follow.
