LITCHFIELD — Leslie “Les” D. Burns, age 68, of Litchfield, passed away Monday, Feb. 25, 2013.
He was born Jan. 17, 1945, in Cavy, W.Va., to the late Oakel and Virginia (Bailey) Burns.
Leslie retired from the Ford Motor Company - Brook Park Engine Plant, where he worked in the foundry for 43 years. He was a member of the UAW.
Leslie was the beloved husband of Francine (Beck) to whom he was married 12 years; loving father of Barbara Reinke (Kirk), Patricia Ribic (Adolf), Richard Burns, Connie Olson (Christopher) and Douglas Burns; dear grandfather of 10; great-grandfather of 1; companion of beloved beagle, “Cinnamon”; devoted brother of Jack Burns and Mary Jane Adams; son-in-law of Rita Beck; and brother-in-law of Mary Ellen Cheek and Michael Beck (Carolyn).
Services will be held Thursday, Feb. 28th, at 1 p.m., at WAITE & SON FUNERAL HOME, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St. Burial will take place at Litchfield Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, at the Funeral Home.
