GENEVA — JoAnn Loftus, age 84, a resident of Clay St. in Geneva for over 10 years living with her daughter, died early Friday morning, Nov. 16, 2012, at Geneva Village Center where she had resided the past year.
She was born Nov. 30, 1927, in Ashtabula, the daughter of the late John F. and Mildred A. (Thomas) Kenny and had lived in this area all of her life. She was married to the late James D. Loftus on Sept. 25, 1948, at St. Joseph Parish in Ashtabula.
Mrs. Loftus worked for several years as a telephone operator for the Ashtabula Telephone Co. She was of the Catholic faith. Her greatest joy in life was her family, who meant everything to her.
Survivors include three children, Bonnie J. (George) Korabek of Ashtabula, Kathleen A. (Garret) Germack of Geneva and James J. Loftus of Parma Heights; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Michael T. (Marjorie) Kenny of Ashtabula.
Private family services will be held Tuesday at the Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Quincy Worthington, of Trinity Presbyterian Church, officiating.
No calling hours will be observed.
