CONNEAUT —
Philomena A. Perkoski, age 80, of Conneaut, died Monday evening, May 28, 2012, at her residence with her family at her side.
Philomena was born April 11, 1932, in Conneaut, Ohio, the daughter of George and Mary (Vendetti) Carlucci. She attended Conneaut High and later met and married her late husband, Bernard Perkoski on April 19, 1952.
Philomena was a housewife and mother, taking care of her family and helping others in need. She loved spending time with her boys and their families. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
Philomena was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernard Perkoski in 1994; and a brother, John Carlucci.
She is survived by four sons, David and Leslie Perkoski of Conneaut, Robert Perkoski of Cleveland, Joseph and Nancy Perkoski of Chicago and Nick Perkoski of Massillon; a brother, Arthur and Jennie Carlucci of Conneaut; grandchildren, Bill, Tim, Evan, Nathan, Nicholas, Claire and Sophie; two step-grandchildren, Josh and Lindsay; a great-grandchild, Nikos; and her good friend, Robert Jarvi.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Friday, June 1st, at St. Mary’s Church, 480 State St., Conneaut. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in the Pieta section.
In lieu of flowers, Philomena’s family ask that donations be made in care of the St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Mary/St. Frances, 744 Mill St., Conneaut, Ohio 44030. Arrangements by RAISIAN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut.
