Rita U. Wrana

MENTOR — Rita U. Wrana (nee Pawlowski), age 89, was chosen on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, by her Heavenly Father to come home.

A Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m., Friday, at St. Columbkille Church, 6740 Broadview Road, Parma, Ohio 44134. There will be no calling hours.

Rita left this earth peacefully in her sleep at Emeritus Assisted Living in Mentor, Ohio under the care of Hospice of Western Reserve.

She was born July 28, 1923 in Cleveland. Her husband, Stanley F. Wrana, preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 2002. Both Rita and Stan were residents of Seven Hills since 1972.

Rita was a member of St. Columbkille Church in Parma, giving her heart to Jesus at a Billy Graham Crusade in Cleveland. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors are her children, David of Omaha, Neb., Robert (Nancy) of Painesville, Beth (Patrick) Makselan of Painesville and Rita (Lee) Stessney of Ashtabula; grandchildren, Amy, Judy and Andrew Wrana, Christopher, Suzanne, Paul and Mark Wrana, Jessica, Ben and Nathaniel Weintz and Caleb and Olivia Stessney; she also had nine great-grandchildren. She had many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Monica and Stanley Pawlowski; and her brother, Don (Joan) Pawlowski.

She worked as a key-punch operator for American Steel & Wire in Cleveland as well as a Word Processor for B.F. Goodrich in Independence. She was a member of Seven Hills Golden Agers for many years as well as Widow & Widowers Group in Brecksville. She loved the Gordon Setter breed and dogs in general. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, pinochle, going up to Lake Erie, Houghton Lake Michigan and she loved Euclid Beach Park and Cedar Point.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions to the Hospice of Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44110. Arrangements by GOLUBSKI FUNERAL HOME in Cleveland.
