ASHTABULA — Edith A. E. Matriscino, age 98, of Ashtabula, Ohio, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013.
Born May 14, 1914, in Ashtabula, she was the daughter of the late Matti and Hilma Farman and had been a resident of Ashtabula most of her life.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Midway Drive-In Theater and Carlisle Allen Company.
After retirement, she spent winters in Florida. The best times of her life were spent being with and enjoying her family.
Her survivors include four daughters, Doris Crudele, Marguerite Whitney, Charlotte (Joe) Britcher and Jean Donatone, all of Ashtabula. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Kathy Crudele, Gary (Helen) Crudele, Susan (Philip) Bogdan, Sally (Dave) VanLoocke, Eric Whitney, Diane (Brian) VanLoocke and Jeffrey Britcher; 13 great-grandchildren, Heather (Joe) Echenoz, Andrew (Sarah) VanLoocke, Hanna VanLoocke, Tyler (Rebecca) VanLoocke, Brandon (Jillian) VanLoocke, Curtis (Kaylee Cellitti) VanLoocke, Jason (Melissa Mitchell) Whitney, Kevin (Erica) Whitney, Michael Whitney, Jenna Whitney, Katie, Paul and Juliet Bogdan; and five great-great-grandchildren, Raegan and Harlow VanLoocke, Aidan and Samantha Whitney and Addison VanLoocke.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Donatone; her second husband, Pat Matriscino; her parents; brothers, George and John Farman; and sons-in-law, Arthur Whitney Jr. and Ben Crudele.
Calling Hours will be Thursday, Jan. 31st, from 3 to 7 p.m. at ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula.
A Service will be held 12 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1st, at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Benedict officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
