ASHTABULA — Norma Darlene Irvin-Jordan, age 59, of Ashtabula, passed away suddenly Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.
Norma was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio, to Harry and Esther (Randall) Irvin.
Norma was employed at the Burns Kids College and formerly at Alex’s Learning Center, and the Salvation Army. She was known by all as a “Child of God” for her nurturing Heart, and as a Peacemaker.
Norma is survived by her husband, Donell Jordan; son, Troy Irvin and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Irvin and their daughter, Brianna Irvin; grandchildren, Tori, Trey and Troy; daughter, Donika Jordan; and son, Derrick Jordan. Also left to mourn are her sisters, Margaret Platt and Rose (James) Wallace; brother, Kenneth Irvin of Bridgeport, Ohio; a sister, Barbara (John) Galloway of Columbus, Ga.; and a large extended family of in-laws and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harry Jr. and Asbury; sister, Evelyn; and a granddaughter, Faith Irvin.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 29th, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 200 Howard St., Bridgeport, Ohio.
