ASHTABULA — Mary Horvath, age 87, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Saybrook Landing Nursing Home with her loving family at her side.
She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Jan. 3, 1926, the daughter of John D. and Jadwiga “Hattie” (Bujarowicz) Sachko.
Mary had been a case worker for the Department of Job and Family Services in her working career. She was a member of the East Side Presbyterian Church. Mary was also a member of the Lake Shore Artists for many years. She was a popular artist in this area for over 40 years.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Jordan of Ashtabula; son, Richard Nelson of Garrettsville, Ohio; and granddaughter, Halina (Kenny) Mauro of Jefferson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Barbara Harshman.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 12th, at POTTI LAKESIDE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 1329 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Shane Nanny, of East Side Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
