CLEVELAND — Virginia Best Bunner, age 97, of E. 107th St., died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Judson Manor.
She was born Nov. 10, 1915, in Brackenridge, Pa., the daughter of Barton David and Eva Gertrude (Mainor) Best and had lived in Hamilton, Ontario, Cleveland and Cincinnati, Ohio and Atlanta, Ga. before returning to Cleveland in 2004.
Prior to her retirement in 1971, she worked 27 years in the engineering department of AT&T.
Virginia was a member of the Epworth Euclid United Methodist Church and the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Her survivors include one sister, Rosemarie (Bob) Rice of Parks, Ark.; one brother, Barton (Gladys) Best of Parma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rawlins H. Bunner; five sisters, Olive Best, Elva Haar, Dorothy Jerrad, Anna Seligman and Shirley Bennett; three brothers, William Best, Jim Best and David Best; and her parents.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 12th, and from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 13th, at ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula.
A Service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 13th, 2013 at the Funeral Home, with the Rev. Christine Bell, Pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Kelloggsville Cemetery, Monroe Township.
