MENTOR —
Russell D. Phelps, age 54, beloved son of Norma Peterson, Mentor, Ohio and Fred Phelps, Waynesville, N.C. passed away Monday, March 12, 2012, after a lengthy illness.
Russell was born Feb. 18, 1958, in Ashtabula, Ohio and resided in Angleton, Texas for the past 12 years.
Russell was a supervisor in the construction industry working on many historical buildings including century churches and restaurants as well as schools, skyscrapers and hospitals.
Russell is survived by his parents; son, Ryan Phelps of Valdosta, Ga.; daughter, Danielle Phelps of Louisville, Ky.; grandson, Kane Phelps; siblings, Wayne Phelps, Karen (Jerry) Mason and Adam (Jennifer) Phelps; as well as several aunts, nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, March 24th, at North Mentor Centenary United Methodist Church, 9290 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor. Burial will follow at Mentor Municipal Cemetery.
