BERLIN, Pa. — Violet Norene Shaulis, age 93, of Fairhope, Pa., formerly of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Meadowview Nursing Center in Berlin, Pa.
Born July 23, 1919, in Somerset County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Richard and Mary Elizabeth (Jordan) Willis.
Violet enjoyed crocheting and loved reading.
Survivors include her children, Carl W. Shaulis MTF Phyllis Leet of Houston, Texas, Shirley J. Pauley of Madison, Ohio, and Beverly Hayman and husband, Larry, of Fairhope, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Catherine Lieder of San Antonio, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Andrew Shaulis on Feb. 24, 1994; a grandson, Larry Robert Hayman Jr.; brothers, Clyde, Ralph and John Willis; and an infant sister.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11th, at the HAUGER-ZEIGLER FUNERAL HOME, Somerset, Pa., where Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12th, with the Rev. Frank Demmy officiating. Interment will be at Somerset County Memorial Park.
