MADISON —
Jon Nelson, age 61, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at his home.
Born Jan. 4, 1951, in Painesville, Ohio, he was the son of Elizabeth (Leasure) and Adelbert Nelson.
A Veteran, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Jon drove for JP Jenks of Madison.
He attended Heritage Bible Baptist and loved his family and the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Lorrie Mills-Nelson; children, Jon (Rachelle) Nelson Jr., Brian (April) Nelson, Edward Nelson, Lisa (Shawn) Johnson, Mark Mills Sr., Jason (Karla) Mills, Chad (Brooke) Nelson, Luke (Jennifer) Mills and Josh Mills; 22 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brothers and sisters, Tom (Sheila) Nelson, Mary (Dennis) McKinley, David (Sherry) Nelson, Carol Blake, William (Denise) Nelson, Rick Nelson, Larry (Robin) Nelson and Terry (Tracy) Nelson.
He was preceded in death by his son, Andrew Joseph Nelson; his parents; and brothers, Owen and Robert Nelson.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, June 3rd, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River St., Madison, Ohio.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Monday, June 4th, at the Funeral Home. Final resting place will be at Perry Cemetery.
