ASHTABULA —
Florence E. Rapose, age 91, a resident of Ashtabula, died Monday, March 26, 2012, in the Hospice Unit of Ashtabula County Medical Center, with her family at her side.
Born Dec. 20, 1920, in Ashtabula, she was the daughter of Paul and Mary (DelPrince) Frabutt. Mrs. Rapose was married to Joseph Rapose on July 12, 1945 in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
She was employed at Telling Belle Vernon (Sealtest Milk Co.) as a book keeper before becoming a full time wife and mother. Florence was a former member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and currently belonged to Our Lady of Peace. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and cooking traditional Italian foods.
Survivors include her sons, Joseph A. (Lorene) Rapose Jr. of Ashtabula, James Rapose of Ashtabula and Thomas Rapose of Conneaut; granddaughter, Melissa (Joshua) Stell of Avon; great-grandson, Vaughn Stell; sister, Jennie Fratis of Ashtabula; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph A. Rapose; infant daughter, Mary Rapose; brothers, Ernie Frabutt and Marino Frabutt; sister, Laura Pizzuto; and an infant baby brother.
The family would like to thank the care givers at ACMC who showed much compassion during her illness.
Funeral Service will be 12 Noon, Friday, March 30th, in GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula, with Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of Service, Friday, at the Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions can be made to Animal Protective League or the Hospice of the Western Reserve.
