ASHTABULA —
Frances L. Dispenza, age 75, of Ashtabula, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at the Cleveland Clinic due to a heart attack, a battle with kidney failure and a long battle with diabetes.
A native of Ashtabula, she was a 1955 graduate of Ashtabula high School. She was married to Sam A. Dispenza on April 26, 1958.
Frances was an employee of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School cafeteria and Hallmark Card Shop in the Ashtabula Plaza. She was a life long member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
She loved spending time with her grandkids, weekly lunches with her girlfriends, traveling to Florida, doing crossword puzzles, playing scrabble, watching soap operas and making her sauce, meatballs and pasta salad.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Sam Dispenza; daughters, Denis Dispenza and Debbie (George) McEndree of Tampa, Fla.; son, Sam F. (Kathy) Dispenza of Mentor; sister, Bernadette (James) Dawson of Palm Coast, Fla.; grandchildren, Devon, Adam and Samuel McEndree and Samantha, Kayla, Dominick and Giana Dispenza; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis “Frenchy” and Jennie Colicchio. The family would like to thank all of Frances’ friends for their love and continued support over the years.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 4th, in Our Lady of Peace Parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, with burial to follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., Saturday morning, at GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula.
