CONNEAUT — Mary (Jackson) Adams, age 68, of Conneaut, Ohio, died peacefully with her family at her side Tuesday evening, Jan. 8, 2013, at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
She was born Oct. 24, 1944, in Conneaut, the daughter of William L. and Margaret (Daggitt) Jackson.
She had been a 45-year employee at Brown Memorial Hospital/UH-Conneaut Medical Center as a Medical Technologist, retiring in October, 2011.
Mary was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Ladies of the Lake Red Hat Club, North Kingsville Garden Club, the Silver Sneakers, and the Road Runners Travel Club. She had served as a member and president of the board of Port Conneaut Federal Credit Union.
She was a faithful member of the Dining Divas cooking group and volunteered at the Conneaut Community Center for garage sales, art camp and concerts. She loved crafts and took classes, and made Christmas cards.
Survivors include her husband, Chet Adams of Conneaut; her daughter, Tracy L. Johnson; two sons, Gregory W. and wife Lisa J. Johnson, and Jason D. and wife Staci Close; four grandchildren, Maddy Close, Brady Close, Reagan Johnson and Rebecca Johnson; and her brother, George Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Per her wishes, no services are planned.
