ROAMING SHORES —
Peter J. Stamberger, age 69, of Roaming Shores, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012.
Born Nov. 24, 1942, in Cleveland, to Robert F. and Janice (nee: Malm) Stamberger. He also lived in Newbury and then Roaming Shores for the past 20 years.
Peter was known for his generous heart and great sense of humor. He was a loving father of three and a good friend to many. He was a volunteer firefighter at Newbury Fire Department, a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, an entrepreneur, loved the outdoors, and was an avid boater and fisherman. He retired as Plumbing Inspector for Ashtabula County in 2000.
Peter is survived by his son, Jon (Sue) Stamberger of Highland Heights; daughters, Wendy Stamberger of Nashville, Tenn. and Jamie Stamberger of Portland, Ore.; grandson, Derek Stamberger of Highland Heights; sisters, Jean (Ed) Graham and Sally Sieger, both of Cincinnati; and a brother, Robert (Kay) Stamberger Jr. of Sedona, Ariz.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 7 p.m., on Monday, Oct. 15th, at BURR FUNERAL HOME, 116 South St., Chardon, Ohio. Private family burial.
Donations are suggested to the American Diabetes Assn. of Cleveland and the Newbury Vol. Fire Dept.
