ASHTABULA — eith Michael Fusco, age 53, passed away peacefully Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at his home.
He was born August 11, 1959, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of John and Betty (McCreary) Fusco and had been an Ashtabula resident since 1972.
Prior to his retirement in 2005, he worked 10 years for the city of Ashtabula in the Public Works Department.
A talented carpenter and handy man, he was so proud to have built his current home and garage basically from the ground up with the help of his brothers. Motorcycles, four-wheelers, cars - if it had a motor, Keith loved it! In fact, he built his own motorcycle. He enjoyed animals, bird watching, vegetable gardening and especially Sunday pasta dinners with his family. He was also an excellent musician who could play the drums, guitar and harmonica. He even played in the local band “TJ Flash” for a while.
His survivors include five children, Joseph (Karen) Fusco of Lake City, Pa., Jennifer Fusco of Akron and Randy, Nicole (Alex Anderson) and Jamie Fusco, all of Ashtabula; his former wife and mother of his children, Robin Fusco of Ashtabula; two grandchildren, Mason Anderson and Taylor Fusco; his fiancée, Darlene Bland; his step-daughter, Holly Bland; brothers, Gary (Lenore) and Chet (and his sidekick Gianna) Fusco, both of Ashtabula, Scott (Rose) and Robert (Julie) Fusco, both of Youngstown, Chris (Jackie) Morton of Austintown, Dale Fusco of Jacksonville, Fla., and Frank Fusco of Toledo; two half-brothers, Rob and Rick Henry; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by Jack, Chuck and Edward Fusco; and his parents.
Calling Hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14th, at the ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula. The Rev. Kenneth Roberts, Pastor of Pentecostal Church of God, will officiate.
