CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Dwight C. Jenkins, age 53, died Sunday, April 8, 2012, at his home.
He was born Feb. 14, 1959, in Ashdown, Ark., the son of James and Marilyn (Piggy) Jenkins. He had been a resident in Charlotte, N.C., for the past 30 years.
Dwight enjoyed fishing with his friends, but mostly he was passionate about cars. He loved working on them, looking at them, and had no preference on the type, he liked them all.
Dwight is survived by his parents, James and Marilyn Jenkins of Ashtabula; sisters, Leslie Jenkins of Ashtabula, Sandra (Dennis) Swinney of Austin, Texas, and Bridgette Jenkins of Lyndhurst, Ohio; brother, Patrick (Riss) Jenkins of Chicago, Ill.; longtime companion, Mary White of Charlotte, N.C.; his wife, Mary Miller-Jenkins and her children, Chantelle Miller-Phillips and Joyce Sturdivant; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Nellie and Gracie (Duran) Jenkins, and maternal grandparents, James and Flora (Lewis) Piggy.
Funeral Services will be held 12 p.m., Noon, on Friday, April 13th, at DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio, with the Rev. George Lampkin officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville.
Calling Hour will be held on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of Service at noon.
