The school year is winding down and the students of Conneaut High School are ready to partake in end of the year festivities. Upperclassmen are making their final arrangements for prom which will take place on May 15. This year’s prom will be a ’50s theme: “At the Hop.”

With the arrival of spring and temperature changes, it is very tempting for students to put down their school work and go and enjoy the beauty of outside, but not all students are letting loose – there are some who are buckling down! This year at Pymatuning Valley an even larger group of students than usual is finishing up the final stages in the courses they have been taking all year, in order to take the Advanced Placement tests the first two weeks of May.

'Back to the '80s' spring musical plays to big audiences at Grand Valley High
The Grand Valley Drama Department has proudly completed their latest play, “Back to the ’80s: the Totally Awesome Musical.” The annual spring musical highlighted the story of a 30 year old’s perspective of his senior year of high school.

JEFFERSON — Upon recent participation in the Lake Erie International Model United Nations Conference, Jefferson’s preparation and experience showed as Jefferson, advised by John Patterson, took home second place with every participating senior receiving an award.

Grand River celebrating academic victories
On March 19, 209 students from eight of the local high schools sat down in an auditorium to take an hour long multiple choice test, and this was no ordinary one by any means. It was the 10 annual Kent State University – Ashtabula Math Day test. The exam featured 25 challenging pre-calculus, geometry, trigonometry and algebra questions.

Lakeside making Earth Day an everyday cause for a healthier school environment
America is “going green” by recycling and using earth friendly products. However, America cannot “go green” without the help of small communities and their daily contributions, such as the global-awareness at Lakeside High School.

More jazz on tap for Soundsations pops concert
Swinging into spring, the Edgewood Warrior Soundsations have something to sing and dance about. The Soundsations are preparing for the spring performance of Pops, Pizazz and Even More Jazz, a continuation of Pops, Pizazz and All That Jazz which was held in the fall.
