High school swimming sectionals are this weekend and Ashtabula County competitors geared up for them at the Ashtabula County Invitational at Perry High School.
Edgewood emerged victorious in the girls competition, while Lakeside laid claim to the boys title.
The Warrior girls finished with 514 points, edging runner-up Lakeside (505) and also Geneva (326) and Jefferson (314).
The Dragon boys earned their crown with 291 points, with Edgewood (227), Jefferson (189) and Geneva (62) rounding out the field.
The Division I sectionals will be held Friday and Saturday at Mayfield, with the girls starting Friday at 6:20 p.m. and the boys Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
Division II competition is Saturday at Hawken, with the boys tipping off at 9:30 a.m. and the girls at 2:30 p.m.
