It was a tough day for Perry on its home mats at the Chagrin Valley Conference Tournament.
The Pirates finished 11th of 17 teams with 46.5 points. Kenston was the overall winner and CVC Chagrin Division champion with 256.5 points. Aurora was second with 231 points, while Cuyahoga Heights was third overall with 213 points and also claimed the CVC Metro championship. Cardinal finished ninth overall with 66 points and was the frontrunner in the CVC Valley Division.
Top finisher for Perry was Cody Clark, who finished third at 160 pounds. Matt Vendeville was fourth for the Pirates at 112, while Ryan Sill was fifth at 145 and Tony Sansalone was sixth at 119 pounds.
