The Amboy Rifle Club almost bagged a sweep in its match at Lawrence Park, Pa. on Friday but ended up settling for a split.
The locals dropped the actual, 1,875-1,861, but romped in the handicap, 29-9.
Top shooters in the actual were Chad Holden (385), Greg Hahn (371), Larry Gromacki 370), Dennis Mitchell Jr. (360) and Paul Labounty (357).
Leading the way in the handicap triumph were Labounty (10), Charles “Thompson” Johnson (10), Gromacki (6) and Holden (3).
Amboy, now 0-3 in actuals and 2-1 in handicaps, will invade Albion, Pa. on Friday at 8 p.m.
