Post 743 pounds Titusville

The Kingsville Neal Post 743 Renegades pulled a Meat Loaf over the weekend at Mercyhurst College — two out of three ain’t bad.

The locals recorded a 13-7 triumph against Titusville Post 368 on Sunday — surrendering all seven runs in the fourth inning.

Devon Anderson, Jake Savel, Tom Dunham, Andrew Showalter, Josh Bilbie and Brian Joslin all had two hits for Post 743, with Anderson and Savel both driving in three runs. Bilbie scored three times, while Anderson, Showalter and Joslin all crossed the plate twice.

Anderson belted a triple and a double, while Dunham and Showalter both had threebaggers and J.D. Drews and Kevin Beduhn socked doubles.

B.J. Severino earned the win on the mound (4 IP, 5 hits, 7 runs, 1 earned, 4 strikeouts, 1 walk) and Jordan Into (2 IP, 1 hit, 1 strikeout, 1 walk) recorded a save.

Post 743 began play Saturday with a thrilling come-from-behind 5-4 win against Erie Post 11.

Savel and Brian Fink both had two hits in the win, Savel smashing a double, while Savel knocked in a pair and Drew Severino scored twice.

Beduhn (6 IP, 8 hits, 4 earned runs, 5 strikeouts, 4 walks) got the win on the bump, while Dunham (1 IP, 1 walk) earned the save.

Marietta Post 64 handed the locals a 10-2 defeat in their second game of the day, Anderson’s triple being one of only three hits mustered by Post 743 in the contest.

Post 743 (13-15) will take on ARC Post 103 on Tuesday at Smith Field at 6:15 p.m.
