A Madison team which seems to have found its stride continued in that direction Wednesday in non-conference action with a 72-44 victory at Harvey as it warmed up for a key Premier Athletic Conference game Saturday afternoon at South.
The Blue Streaks, who got off to a 1-3 start, are 7-2 since that point.
Madison (8-5, 6-2 PAC) started strong with a 23-14 lead after the first quarter, expanded it to 41-22 at halftime and had the contest clinched after three quarters with a 55-35 lead.
Senior Kate Oberstar led Madison with 25 points, six steals and four assists. Fellow senior Ashley DiLillo provided 12 more points, while freshman Abby Trivisonno added nine points and Rochelle Fisher contributed eight. Chelsea Davis, who has become one of Madison’s leading scorers did not play Wednesday.
Nekia Evans topped Harvey with 12 points, 10 rebounds and two blocked shots. Kendra Mackey added nine points for the Red Raiders.
