Falcs 4th, 6th in AAC Meet

— Behind a pair of individual winners and a relay victory, the Jefferson boys track team finished fourth in its inaugural All-American Conference National Track Meet.

The Falcons netted 82 points. Lakeview (145), Girard (106) and Liberty (100) all topped Jefferson.

The girls team was sixth with 45.5 points. Girard tallied 160 points in the victory.

Jacob Hamilton cleared 12-6 to claim pole vault title and David Chase won the high jump, topping 6-4 for his victory. The 3,200-meter relay of Adam Chase, Daran Woodin, Branden Scribben and Andy Picard topped the podium with a time of 8:46.77.

Kaydee DeVivo won the pole vault, clearing 9-6 to pace the Jefferson girls. She also took fourth in the 100-meter hurdles in 17.19.

Adam Chase took home second in the 800 in 2:02.61 for the Falcons. With a toss of 47-4.25, Aaron Painter was runnerup in the shot and Jerry Scott, Hamilton, David Chase and Jacob Dengg teamed up for second in the 800-meter relay in 1:34.9. Matthew Kantor placed himself third in the 1,600 in 4:45.66.

Scott came home fourth in the 300-meter hurdles (43.47).

Connor Cleveland paced fourth in the pole vault by clearing 11-0, Kantor was fourth in the 3,200 in 11:10.16 and Lucas Hitchcock went over the bar at 5-8 to place sixth in the high jump. Nathan O’Connor and Matt Volanski placed fourth and fifth in the discus with throws of 115-00 and 113-2, respectively.

The 400-meter relay team of Joey Babic, Dengg, Cleveland and Jon Hubler was sixth in 46.94.

The girls 3,2000-meter relay of Colleen O’Connor, Natasha LeGrange, Summer Pacholke and Hannah Cole was third in 10:58.85. Jessica Becker, DeVivo, Paige Clark and Shannen Bartone teamed to place fourth in the 800-meter relay.

Colleen O’Connor took a fourth in the 1,600 (5:47.3) as well as the 800 (2:42.54) and Pacholke was sixth in the 1,600 in 5:59.64. LeeAnn Farr was sixth in the shot with a heave of 29-9 and Hayley Allen tied for sixth in the high jump.

Becker, Bartone, DeVivo and Clark ran a 56.01 in the 400-meter relay to take sixth.
