The Geneva girls and Jefferson boys track teams took home titles at the Falcon Relays at Jefferson on Friday.
The Eagles dominated the girls side of the seven-team event, registering 128 total points, 61 points ahead of second place Conneaut (67 points).
Geneva got wins in the 400-meter relay (51.50), 4x103 meter relay (56.60), 800-meter relay (1:48.10), 1600-meter relay (4:12.10), 3200-meter relay (10:18.90), 800-meter sprint medley (1:54.70) and 400-meter shuttle hurdle (1:07.14).
Conneaut’s Brittany Johnson finished first in the high jump with a jump of 5-feet, 2-inches.
For the Eagles, Laurisa Rosado finished first in the pole vault clearing 10-0, while Riley Doherty placed first in the long jump with a jump of 14-08.
Edgewood’s Courtney Humphrey finished first in the shot put with a throw of 34-11.
On the boys side, the Jefferson’s 79 points were just enough to edge out Geneva (76 points) and Poland (75).
The Falcons won the 3200-meter relay (19:40.33) and the 800-meter sprint medley (1:39.50).
Jefferson’s Jacob Hamilton finished first in the pole vault, clearing 12-feet even and Aaron Painter placed first in the shot put with a throw of 46-04.50.
Conneaut’s Geoffrey Johnson finished first in the long jump with a jump of 20-0.

Thanks to Mother Nature, Eleshia Pitcher and her Geneva Eagles were forced to wait one more day to play for a Division II district softball championship... at least one more day, that is.
