Jimmy Dennis and Mike Johnson provided just what The Great Outdoors Store needed to claim the Ashtabula City Rec title.
Dennis homered among four hits and drove in three runs and Johnson drove in four runs with two long balls as The Great Outdoors Store dropped F.O.E. Eagles, 20-8, in the league championship game at Massucci Field.
Randy Vencill got the win for The Great Outdoors Store and added four hits and an RBI at the plate.
The Great Outdoors Store tallied at least a run each inning through the first five and tallied at least two in four of those frames. The high-water mark was a nine-run fourth, but it also tallied five in the first.
In comparison, F.O.E. Eagles scored three in the first, one in the second and two in each in the fifth and seventh.
As a team, The Great Outdoors Store netted 28 hits to 17 for F.O.E. Eagles.
Nick Armeni added four hits, Mark Miklos homered among three hits and drove in a pair and Andy Juhola drove in two with three hits for The Great Outdoors Store. Jayson Aponte chipped in with two hits, including a home run, and four RBI, Joe Coxon homered among two hits and plated a pair and Bubba Vencill and Tyler Baker each had two hits.
Richie Meade had four hits, Dan Henderson had three hits, homered and drove in two and Kyle McGirr homered among two hits and drove in three for F.O.E. Eagles.
J.J. Jones took the loss.
The Great Outdoors Store won all four of its games in the playoffs and finished the season at 21-3.
