The Amboy Rifle Club ended up with half a loaf in its match against visiting Lawrence Park, Pa. on Friday night.
The locals dropped the actual, 1,896-1,866, but prevailed in the handicap in a dogfight, 38-35.
Best shooters for Amboy in the actual were Chad Holden (391), Dennis Mitchell Jr. (373), Greg Hahn (366), Larry Gromaki (361) and Paul Labounty (354).
Leading the way in the handicap victory were Labounty (10), John Labounty (10), Holden (7), Calvin Johnson (7) and Hahn (4).
ARC, now 1-5 in actuals but a stellar 5-1 in handicaps, will host invading Albion, Pa. on Friday at 8 p.m.
