Josh Shorts led American Legion Post 151 to a 3-1 victory over the River Rat Pirates, leading off the third inning with a solo home run Tuesday night during the Freeport International Tournament.
Nick Scott and Wendell Bliss both doubled for Post 151 and Shorts had two hits. Mike Ryan had the win at the mound, striking out eight.
