GENEVA-ON-THE-LAKE —
Love is a many splendored thing. Love lifts us up where we belong. All you need is love. Love stinks.
Noble Art Entertainment will perform “Stupid Cupid — A Comedy of Errors” dinner theater at the Oak Room on Feb. 8, 9, 15, 16, 22 and 23.
“Cupid is on trial for failing mankind,” producer Brook Collin Hall said. “Everybody’s favorite archer recounts the stories of his greatest successes and how he occasionally missed the mark.”
Hall said Cupid is in trouble with the Gods.
“The Gods feel that he has allowed romance to die and he must make the case for himself or mankind could lose love forever,” he said. “So Cupid tells his greatest love stories of all time, with the help of Bacchus (the God of Wine) to try to convince the Gods that man cannot live without love.”
Hall said the event is full of love songs, dancing, “and a whole lot of comedy.”
“And as always with our shows, a little bit of audience interaction to make for a memorable night,” he said.
Advance reservations are required for this five-course dinner, which includes “bleeding heart brie,” cream of mushroom soup, salad, and a choice of chicken in honey, butter and garlic with almonds and roses or slow roasted beef tenderloin in a red wine demi glaze.
Dessert is chocolate cherry cake with port wine frosting.

Hall said the Noble Art’s Christmas show was a huge success.
“We have had some really great reviews,” he said.
Audience member Barry McKenzie said he was impressed with the entire cast of “A Christmas Carol.”
“Rarely have I seen such a multi-talented group of people in one room, from the oldest to the youngest,” he said. “It was an extremely enjoyable evening.”
