Star Beacon

DORSET — Police are looking for the man they say walked into a convenience store Saturday night and robbed the clerk at knifepoint.

Ashtabula County Sheriff William Johnson said the robbery happened at the Dorset Convenience store, 3276 Footville-Richmond Road.

The clerk told deputies a white, thin man, wearing a ski mask and a yellow sweatshirt, brandished a knife at her and demanded cash, Johnson said.

The store clerk complied and the robber grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot. Johnson said police believe the perpetrator also arrived on foot.

The sheriff’s office is conducting the investigating and following up on several leads.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 440-576-0055.
