ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP — Baby, you should be in pictures.
The Ashtabula County Animal Protective League will host a “Dog Day at the Movies” on March 27 at the premiere of the 2009 Boo Wow Walk “dogumentary” at the Ashtabula Towne Square from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The film, produced by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Adam Racinskas, follows the Boo Wow Walk from set up to tear down and includes pictures of Boo Wow pooches and their owners dressed in costume.
“It is amazing to see how many dogs were at that walk,” Boo Wow Walk organizer Gitta Racinskas said. “The film is a lot of fun and really shows a lot of the dogs that were at the event.”
The movie premiere event will include DVD sales of the limited-edition production. Each DVD costs $15 and comes in a commemorative case.
People (and dogs) who missed the Boo Wow Walk but want some momentos is in luck, as T-shirts, bracelets, computer mouse pads and license plate brackets will be on sale at the event.
“We even have some of those very popular squeaky plush spiders for sale,” Racinskas said. “Everyone just loved those.”
Additional fundraising will include a bake sale and raffle. People are encouraged to stop by and write down their suggestions for the 2010 Boo Wow Walk.
The day isn’t all about dogs, as the Easter Bunny will arrive at the Towne Square at 11 a.m.
