ASHTABULA —
The Ashtabula Rotary Foundation will host the Wine and Walleye Kick-off party Friday in the Rotary Beer Tent at Sutherland Marine in the historic Ashtabula harbor.
The party starts at 4 p.m. with live musical performances by “I and I” and the “Stone River” bands.
“By hosting the Festivals Kick-Off Party on Friday evening, we provide an additional opportunity for folks to get together to celebrate the weekend and the Ashtabula Harbor,” Steve Schoneman, leader of the Rotary Beer Tent.
On Saturday the Rotary also will host the lighted boat parade awards ceremony, a musical performance by the group “Blown Cover,” and a pig roast, compliments of Briquette’s Smokehouse.
“We offer an alternative for people who come to the Wine and Walleye Festival to enjoy the atmosphere and vendors, including the great food,” Schoneman said.
