ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP — Two more weeks until Lights on the Lake brighten Lake Shore Park.
The holiday drive-through light display will illuminate at 6 p.m. Nov. 27 and will continue to twinkle from 6 to 9:30 p.m. every Friday, Saturday and Sunday following Thanksgiving through New Year’s Eve.
As spectators ride through Lights on the Lake, they will see the 25-foot-tall Christmas tree now boasts a new star on top, as well as several new displays and additions to their favorite Christmas scenes from years past.
Also along the way will be strings and strings of thousands of colorful, twinkling lights on the park’s bountiful evergreens and rolling hills, all while maintaining last year’s price: $5 per carload at the gate. Buses are $1 per person and mini buses are $20 per vehicle.
If you buy your ticket in advance of coming to the park, you will fill out the back of the ticket with your name and address. Present your ticket at the gate for admission and you are entered into a drawing for $500.
On Jan. 6, the Lights on the Lake Committee will have a drawing for the $500 winner. Another advantage to buying tickets is the special deal — buy five tickets and get one free.
