SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP — A man died after being struck by a train on North Bend Road on Thursday afternoon, according to an Ashtabula County Coroner’s Office report. Walter S. Saari, 71, of Saybrook, was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was taken to the morgue, said Richard Mongell, Coroner’s Office investigator.
