Deer crashes increasing on I-90, Route 11

AUSTINBURG TOWNSHIP — A deer on Interstate 90 didn’t have a chance Sunday night as numerous cars hit the animal before help could arrive, said Ohio Highway Patrol Dispatcher Sharon Bradley.

“We had a deer in the middle of the road and before we could get there four cars hit it,” she said. She said there were no injuries and the damage was minor but the deer did not make it.

The crash occurred around the 224 mile marker just east of Route 45 in Austinburg Township.

“It’s that time of year. We’ve had quite a few,” she said of deer vehicle conclusions on Interstate 90 and Route 11.

“My advice is to watch out for Bambi,” Bradley said.
