JEFFERSON — Six people were recently indicted by the grand jury for alleged crimes ranging from felonious assault to possession of cocaine.
Christopher Forrest, 28, of 10937 Tacoma Ave., Cleveland, was indicted for felonious assault following an alleged attack on July 21, 2009, in Ashtabula, according to Ashtabula County Common Pleas Court records. Forrest is accused of fracturing a man’s jaw during the assault.
Kevin C. Reed, 45, of 5414 Madison Ave, Ashtabula, was indicted for allegedly possessing .1 gram of cocaine on Jan. 6 in Ashtabula, court records show.
Charles Mendenhall, 41, of 5418 Fort Ave., Ashtabula, also is accused of possession of drugs stemming from an alleged Jan. 7 incident in Ashtabula involving. 5 grams of cocaine, court records show.
Nathan Provan, 24, of 261 Park Place, Conneaut, is charged with burglary and theft stemming from an alleged incident at a Madison Street home in Conneaut on Dec. 4, 2009, according to court records. He is accused of stealing more than $500 worth of computer equipment and related items, court records show.
Andre M. Corpening, 27, of 977 W. Prospect, Ashtabula, was indicted on one count of possession of crack cocaine allegedly involving 6.38 grams of the drug and a second count of possession of cocaine involving 60.9 grams of cocaine, court records show. The incidents are alleged to have occurred on Feb. 11 in Ashtabula, court records show.
Charles C. Sparks, 25, of 2528 Cook Road, Ashtabula, was indicted for an alleged assault on a police officer on Feb. 20 in Ashtabula, court records show.
